A convertible can suit a trip where the open-air drive is part of the occasion. Check the exact listing for seating and roof style: some convertibles have two seats, while others have a different layout. Ask whether your luggage fits with the roof in the position you plan to use.
If you are arriving with large suitcases, discuss bag dimensions before choosing. Do not assume a convertible has the same usable luggage space as a similarly sized coupe or sedan.
When to compare a luxury SUV
Consider an SUV when your plans involve more passengers or luggage. Confirm the actual seating configuration, not just the model name. A published seat count does not prove that every passenger and bag will fit comfortably together.
